Thanks to this mod I no longer dread getting a run where I find nothing but familiars lol The Loki familiar for example usually fires in 4 directions pretty slowly but its first upgrade allows it to fire in 8 directions and its second upgrade increases its fire rate. Sewing Machine is probably my favourite one, it adds a new interactive object to the game that spawns in item rooms and shops that allows you to upgrade your familiars with coins, not all familiars can be upgraded but the ones that can can be upgraded twice. Varying special rooms adds a lot of variety to item rooms and curse rooms ect ect, i think it does affect balance slightly though as sometimes you can get like 4 items in one room if you have enough keys/are able to fly etc but it always feels rewarding to do so if you happen to have the required items
